hi, i'm Maya ! I'm a dj and roleplayer looking to meet new people and make friends! I also make code and stuff from time to time. I'm always open to meet people or RP so dont be afraid to come chat!

˖· Rule 001 ⸺ . BE kind OOC
I am a real person and so are my friends. Whatever happens between our characters, basic human decency applies outside of it without exception. If you are unkind, dismissive, or hostile to myself or anyone in my circle out of character, the interaction ends there. This is a hobby. We are all here to have fun. Treat people accordingly. ˖· Rule 002 ⸺ . Talk to Me First
I am generally open to a wide range of roleplay, including dark and complex themes — Aemilia's story has plenty of both. However, if you intend to bring heavy subject matter, graphic violence, or significant plot-altering events into our interaction, please check with me beforehand. A quick heads up goes a long way and means we can both enjoy the scene without anyone being caught off guard. ˖· Rule 003 ⸺ . Explicit Content Requires Explicit Consent
I will not engage in sexual or explicitly romantic roleplay with you, or facilitate it between you and anyone else in a scene, without clear prior consent from all parties involved. This is a hard rule, not a suggestion. Ask first, every time, no exceptions.
˖· Rule 004 ⸺ . IC is Not OOC
Aemilia has history, opinions, and a complicated past that may put her at odds with your character. Conflict, tension, and difficult dynamics between characters are welcome and interesting. Carrying those dynamics outside of the fiction and directing them at me personally is not. She is not me. I am not her.
˖· Rule 004 ⸺ . Godmodding and Powerplaying
Please do not control Aemilia's actions, dictate her reactions, or write her responses for her. I extend the same courtesy to your character. Collaborative storytelling works because both people get to drive — if something significant is going to happen to either of our characters, let's discuss it together first and build something worth both our time.
˖· Rule 006 ⸺ . My Pace is My Pace
I have a life outside of this and my response times will reflect that. I will never rush you and I ask the same in return. If I need to step back from an interaction for any reason I will let you know, and I ask that you do the same. There is no pressure here in either direction — good roleplay is worth waiting for.

| NAME: Aemelia wir galvus | AGE: 25 |
| PRONOUNS: she\her | SPECIES: Garlean |
| BIRTHDATE: 5/9 | JOB(S): Paladin, Gunbreaker, Dragoon |
| ORIGIN: Garlemald | LOCATION(S): Foundation, Ul'dah, gridania, Ala Mhigo, Tural |
| DEITY: Halone | ALIGNMENT: Lawful Good |
| SEXUALITY: Bisexual | Alias: Amelia sicula/Amelia quo sicula |
PERSONALITY Aemilia is the kind of person who makes you feel safer without quite being able to explain why. She doesn't fill a room with presence the way her brother did — she does the opposite, actually, making herself quiet and steady and easy to overlook until the moment something goes wrong, at which point she is suddenly, unmistakably, exactly where she needs to be. She operates by a personal code that is ironclad and entirely self-authored: she does not lie about things that matter, she does not leave people behind, and she does not walk away from a fight that was hers to stand in. She broke the laws of her empire without a moment's hesitation, and she would do it again, because her loyalty has never been to institutions — it has always been to the people inside them, and to the quiet, non-negotiable belief that the strong exist to shield the vulnerable rather than consume them. She is not warm in the easy, immediate way — warmth is something she gives slowly and means completely. She carries guilt the way soldiers do, practically and without drama, examining it when she has to and setting it aside when she doesn't. She will not ask you to forgive her past. She will simply spend the rest of her life making sure her present is worth something. She is, at her core, a person who stays — and in her experience, that is the rarest and most valuable thing a person can be. LIKES Rainy weather, Hole-in-the-wall taverns, Dogs, People who say what they mean, The quiet of a city before it wakes up, Spicy food DISLIKES Being thanked effusively, Ceruleum smell, People who are cruel to serving staff, Being asked where she is really from, Excessive formality, performative charity HOBBIES Woodcarving, Collecting and pressing wildflowers from places she has fought for, playing cards, Long solitary walks with no destination, Reading
features.
| HEIGHT: 5'2" | WEIGHT: 133 Lbs |
| BUILD: Thin, hourglass figure | EYES: Green |
| HAIR: Dyed red with orange streaks | SCARS: None |
APPEARANCE Aemilia is on the shorter end of average, with the kind of build that reads as lean until you notice the quiet density of someone who has spent years holding ground — there is nothing fragile about her. Her skin is pale in the way common to Garleans, carrying the faint weathering of someone who has spent more of her life outdoors than in. Her hair is long and dark red, the kind of red that sits closer to cooling embers than anything bright, threaded through with uneven amber and orange highlights that catch the light unexpectedly — a dye job grown into over many years until it simply looks like hers. The third eye sits at the center of her brow as it does for all Garleans, and it is the one feature she has never been able to disguise and long ago stopped trying to.
Her face is angular and composed, the default expression somewhere between watchful and neutral — not unfriendly, but the kind of face that makes it clear nothing gets in or out without being assessed first. Her eyes, all three of them, are a pale grey-green. She moves with the economical, deliberate quality of someone who learned early that stillness is not the same as passivity, and has spent a long time making sure the distinction shows.

And this time,
she knew exactly what that meant.
STRENGTHS
Unshakeable under pressure,
can Read a room and a battlefield,
Keeps her word,
Knows how to make people feel safe,
Carries other people's secrets with the same care she carries her own,
Adapts well and easily WEAKNESSES
Deeply uncomfortable receiving help,
Slow to trust,
Holds herself to a standard she would never apply to anyone else,
Struggles to separate guilt from responsibility,
Has spent so long being useful that she sometimes doesn't know what she wants when nothing is currently on fire FLAWS
Can become immovable in the wrong moments,
Pushes people away preemptively when she feels they are getting too close,
A tendency toward self-sacrifice,
Finds it genuinely difficult to believe she deserves the good things that have found her,
Will take on other people's burdens without being asked and without telling them she has done it, which helps no one in the long run Backstory

˖· Hook 001 ⸺ . The Shield That Doesn't Ask QuestionsAemilia has a reputation in certain adventuring circles — not a loud one, not the kind that gets ballads written about it, but the quiet kind that travels through word of mouth among people who need someone reliable. If you need a line held, a door kept, or a rear guard who won't break when things go sideways, her name comes up. She doesn't ask much about the job and she doesn't ask much about you. Whether you're a fellow adventurer looking for a dependable companion on a dangerous contract, a resistance sympathizer who needs someone who knows how the Imperial military thinks, or simply someone who got into trouble and needed the person next to them to not move, Aemilia is the woman who was already standing there when you looked over your shoulder.
˖· Hook 002 ⸺ . A Garlean Accent in the Wrong Part of TownShe's learned to soften it, but it's still there — the clipped consonants, the precise cadence of someone who grew up speaking the empire's tongue before they learned anything else. In a city like Ul'dah or Limsa Lominsa, that accent draws looks, and occasionally it draws more than looks. If your character has a complicated relationship with Garlemald — a family member lost to the occupation, a homeland still under the banner, or even a shared history of service and doubt — that accent is a hook all on its own. She won't apologize for where she came from. But she also won't pretend it doesn't sit in the room with her whenever she walks into one. ˖· Hook 003 ⸺ . She Knows Things She Shouldn'tFor someone who presents as a simple shield-for-hire with no particular pedigree, Aemilia has a startling depth of knowledge about Imperial military doctrine, command hierarchy, supply logistics, and the internal politics of the Legions. She's careful about how much she reveals and to whom, but sharp people notice that the gaps in her story are shaped like something much larger than a conscript-citizen from a minor province. If your character is an intelligence operative, a Scion, a researcher, or simply someone perceptive enough to notice that her knowledge is too specific and too current to be secondhand — she might be exactly the source you've been looking for, whether she's willing to admit it or not.
˖· Hook 004 ⸺ . The Wrong NameIf your character happens to know — or suspect — anything about the missing children of House Galvus, then the dark red-haired Garlean woman sitting alone in the corner of the inn is either a remarkable coincidence or exactly what she looks like once you know what to look for. The third eye is there, the bone structure is there, and anyone who has ever seen an imperial portrait up close might find themselves doing a slow double-take. She will deny it. She will be very calm and very convincing about denying it. Whether your character pushes, protects her secret, tries to leverage it, or simply sits down and says I know, and I don't care — the moment someone sees through the hair and the dropped particle is one of the most charged conversations she's ever likely to have.
˖· Hook 005 ⸺ . The Occupation Has a Face NowAemilia spent time in Ala Mhigo as a Legion soldier before she ever set foot there as a resistance auxiliary. She knows, with uncomfortable specificity, what the occupation looked like from the inside of a uniform. If your character is Ala Mhigan — or from any other territory that has lived under the Imperial banner — meeting her is complicated. She won't flinch from that complication and she won't ask you to make it easy for her. She has sat with what she did and what she was part of, and she will sit with your anger about it too if that's what you need. Whether that becomes the beginning of something difficult and eventually worthwhile, or simply stays difficult, is entirely up to you. ˖· Hook 006 ⸺ . Quiet Company After a Long WarShe's not always in the middle of something. Sometimes Aemilia is just a woman sitting at a bar in a city that isn't Garlemald, drinking something that isn't ceruleum-brewed spirits, watching the room with the particular habitual vigilance of someone who spent twenty years making sure exits were accounted for. She is not unfriendly. She is not closed. She is simply someone who spent so long being careful that easy conversation is a skill she is still, at this stage of her life, actively practicing. If your character is also carrying something heavy and finds themselves sitting down next to her on a slow evening, she is unlikely to pry — but she will stay, and she will listen, and if you're lucky she might eventually say something true about herself in return.
| Name | Relationship | Story |
|---|---|---|
| Zenos yae Galvus | Brother | The first person she ever knew and in many ways the wound she has spent her whole life learning to stop pressing on. He was never cruel to her, which was almost worse than if he had been — she simply never registered to him in any meaningful way. She spent her childhood reaching toward someone who had already hollowed himself out, and her adulthood grieving something that may never have existed. His death closed a door she had been standing in front of for twenty five years. She does not hate him. She is not sure she ever fully forgave him either. The truth lives somewhere in the complicated, unresolvable middle, and she has made her peace with leaving it there. |
| Varis zos Galvus | Father | She stopped thinking of him as her father long before he died. Varis was an architect first and a parent somewhere so far down the list it barely counted — she was a variable in his design, not a person in his life. What she carries from him is not love and not hate but something colder: the particular clarity of someone who looked at the man who raised them and saw him completely, without illusion, and chose to become his opposite. She does not mourn him. She mourned the father she never had long before he was gone. |
| Brea | Friend | A Roegadyn woman who runs a waystation outside Limsa Lominsa and has, in the years since they met, become one of the most quietly important people in Aemilia's life. Brea does not ask inconvenient questions, has never once made Aemilia feel like a burden, and once stepped between her and a drunk with a grudge against Garleans without being asked and without making a fuss about it afterward. She is steady in the way that Aemilia understands and respects — not flashy, not dramatic, just reliably, immovably there. Aemilia would do almost anything for her and Brea almost certainly knows it. |
| Fennick | Friend, Sharlayan Scholar | A Hyur academic whose initial correspondence with Aemilia began over a shared and deeply niche interest in imperial aetherological theory and evolved, over years of letters, into something neither of them had quite planned on. He is perceptive in the specific way of people who spend their lives studying things carefully, and he had quietly suspected the truth of her origins for years before she told him. He received the confession by pushing biscuits toward her, which is one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for her. He does not travel if he can help it. He writes letters of frankly unreasonable length. She keeps all of them. |
| Rael | Friend, Former Resistance Fighter | She met him in the margins of the Ala Mhigan liberation — she was providing intelligence and holding lines, he was doing the kind of fighting that comes from having something deeply personal at stake. They did not like each other immediately. He had very reasonable feelings about Garlean soldiers and she had no defensible argument against them. What built between them instead was the slower, sturdier thing that comes from working beside someone in difficult circumstances long enough to see who they actually are. He lives in Ul'dah now, writes letters with atrocious spelling and genuine warmth, and showed up in Tural with no warning and no explanation as though it were the obvious thing to do. It was. |
